Your Schema Is Doing 3 Jobs for AI. You’re Only Tracking One.
Schema for AI visibility is not just a rich-result trick anymore. Schema is structured data: labeled code on a page that tells machines what the page means.
Are You Visible is an AI search visibility agency. I get businesses found when their customers ask AI what to choose. That starts with making the business legible enough to be named.
Most operators still track one schema job: whether Google can show stars, prices, availability, or other rich results. Fine. That still matters. But it is the shallowest part of the work.
Schema now has three jobs.
First, schema identifies the entity. A wedding venue in Lisbon, a clinic in Chicago, and a law firm in Austin all need the same basic thing: the page has to say clearly who the business is, what it does, where it belongs, and which outside profiles confirm it.
Second, schema verifies the claim. If the page says a service exists, a product is available, or a review score is real, the structured data has to match the visible page. Google’s structured-data guidance says the markup belongs on the page it describes, and the information should not describe something hidden from the user.
Third, schema helps the answer choose. An assistant does not admire your design. It tries to decide whether your page is a clean source for a recommendation. Vague HTML makes that harder. Clear entities, offers, reviews, locations, and breadcrumbs make the page easier to interpret.
This is why checking only “valid” or “invalid” is weak. A page can pass a basic test and still fail the visibility test. Valid code can still be incomplete, duplicated, stale, or describing the wrong thing.
Use a Temporary Chat and ask the question your buyer would ask: “Who should I hire for [service] in [city]?” Then open your own page source and look for the structured data. Does it explain the business, the offer, and the proof clearly enough for a machine to trust it?
If the answer is no, the page is not invisible by accident.
